True love
I met my husband on Oasis.com in 2010. I was just after friendship but we fell for each other and it has now been 6 years together and 4 year married. We have an amazing baby boy 10 months old, which is all thanks to this site.
The Love Of My Life!
I had been on 'Oasis' for over 6 years, had been on quite a few dates with women I met on here but nothing really eventuated. I felt like my disability was hindering my chance of finding that special someone. Doing one final scroll through who was online before deleting my account I saw her. Her profile picture wasn't anything fancy which gave me the impression of quite a genuine person. She was cute, tall, nerdy, shy and I needed to send her a request. She accepted and we chatted for a few hours. She didn't seemed phased by my spinal injury and the conversation flowed very naturally and without effort. I was smitten already! We spent 3 weeks chatting online before deciding we wanted to exchange numbers, 3 weeks after that we organised to have our first date. After hitting it off on the date neither of us wanted to leave, we were enticed by each other and slowly grew closer. Mid September 2014 I opened up to her and asked to be her 'boyfriend'! Being in our early 30's we giggled at the question as it felt very much like high school, and she very happily said yes. Fast forward to late June 2015, our wedding day! I couldn't believe I had finally met the woman of my dreams! She's quirky, sassy, cheeky, sweet, sincere, open, genuine, sexy, loyal, affectionate and still very cute. So here we are, early March 2016 and she keeps surprising me and making all my dreams come true. We just recently discovered that she is pregnant and I'm going to have my first child (her 2nd), I'm finally going to be a daddy! Thank you 'Oasis! Without you I would have never found the love of my life!
My fairytale ending
After a string of duds I finally met my wonderful fiancé and father of my child! We will be getting married in 2017 on our 5th anniversary Thanks Oasis!
When you find the one who finally gets you
On Christmas Eve of 2012 I decided to try this online dating thing after having enough of the ridiculous people I had met previously. Finally a pop up on my screen then another than another but one kept my attention from the start we chatted a little and found out we had a bit in common he seemed different to anyone else I had spoken to. We added each other on Facebook and texted each other non-stop through Christmas Day agreeing to meet Boxing Day. I didn't even feel nervous something about him calmed me something in me saw something in him I felt that I was always missing we talked so easily and get so comfortable, we were inseparable. I knew he was different the first time we met and I knew shortly after I wanted to marry this man. We laugh so much we have so much fun together and I've never known a more compassionate loving supportive just genuinely nice guy. He compliments me in every way and before him I never believed soul mates existed. “We are all a little weird and life's a little weird and when we find someone who's weirdness is compatible with ours we fall into mutual weirdness and call it love” -this was the quote we used yesterday at our WEDDING! He is defiantly my equal weirdo .thank you for bringing me to my soulmate.
Love at first sight
After looking for a serious relationship for a while I decided to give Oasis a try. After a couple of days I started to chat to a guy. I was from Glasgow and he was from Edinburgh. After talking for a while we decided to brave it and meet. Once we met it was really love at first sight. We met on the 24.08.2012 and not long after I fell pregnant. He has been by my side for almost 4 years and I do not know what I would do without him. We would like to say a huge thank you to Oasis if it wasn’t for this site our daughter wouldn’t exist. I encourage people to please give oasis a go and see where it take you.
The feeling is right
We both connected from our first chat, and haven't stopped chatting since. Our first phone call lasted 6 hours, so that was a good sign we had a great connection. After chatting every day for 4 days, we finally met in person. We both had a good inkling that we would be attracted to each other, and sure enough we were. From that day 7 weeks ago, we have only spent one day/night apart. Everything seems so right - we both have the same passions, such as a love of the outdoors (camping, fishing, random drives and short bush walks), gardening, animal welfare and our pets, nightly walks and stopping for a swing at the playground. Chatting until 2am every night about anything and everything. He LOVES to cook - I hate cooking - so perfect match: D We both motivate each other considering we are both procrastinators. We work well as a team, encouraging each other to keep working; most of the time it is working on each other’s gardens or house chores. There is not a time in the day where we aren't thinking of each other. We both can talk about our concerns and issues and help each other through them. We both have the same dreams for the future, living in a cottage on our farm, living off the land with lots of animals. And eventually travelling around Australia in the Land Cruiser, towing the caravan and the boat. A match made in heaven!
