Long Distance Love
Wow, never in a million years did I think that I would find love on the web!!
Being a single mum and not being able to date I thought I would give internet dating a try, more out if boredom than anything else. I never really expected anything to come of it.
After chatting with a few people I was ready to give up, when someone sparked up a conversation, and convinced me to stay on oasis for just two more days and give him a chance.
I did and it was the best decision of my life, we hit it off at once. There was one problem, he was 300 miles away. But after speaking all the time online and writing (very romantic) letters we decided that we should finally meet.
He sat for 9 hours on a coach to spend the weekend with me and it was the best weekend of my life, nearly a year on and we are happily living together and listening out for the patter of tiny feet!!! Life has never been better.

Perfect!
I was on Oasis for say 2 1/2 years and dated a few guys but none were my perfect match.
Then finally a descent gentleman contacted me. Just with the first conversations we had I was laughing my head off and I thought to myself ‘he sounds like my perfect match’ which he was and will always be.
Thank you very much Oasis, I have a perfect life.

I was sent a contact request saying ‘I’d like to know more about you’.
I checked out his profile, and noticed he is a nice country man now living in the city, with a lot in common.. Including Mutual Friends, our work, and our Footy Team.
It was love at first sight, and has seriously been like we have been together for years... We met August 2009, and now we are getting married 10 weeks this coming Saturday on the 18th of February 2012.
The only advice we can share with you all, is just to be yourself, and know what you are after... If they aren’t keen, it’s usually because you are trying to entice the wrong person...
When you are being yourself, the right one will come along, and happiness will only be had :)

True Love!
After an unsuccessful marriage, I had just about given up on meeting anyone special.
My Mum had recently joined this dating site and suggested I create a profile. I was surprised at how much attention I received straight away.
After weeding through a few no-brainers, I started chatting to a wonderful guy. He seemed a little shy but was a brilliant writer, so we slowly got to know one another chatting online and over the phone.
After a few weeks of chatting and exchanging more pictures we realised we wanted to meet. A relaxed and public venue was decided upon and when we first set eyes on each other there was definitely chemistry.
We talked for hours and kissed for almost as long. After this initial meeting an intimate and romantic dinner followed within a few days and we haven't looked back since.
That was almost three years ago. Since then my true love and I have moved interstate, Married and are now expecting our first child in February 2012.
Thank Goodness for internet dating and especially Oasis Active, without you I wouldn't have found my True Love!
Just Married 11/11/11
In November 2008 I joined Oasis as a bit of fun with some friends, with no intentions of actually meeting someone. Within minutes I was overwhelmed with the amount of contact requests that were filling up my screen, I wasn’t too sure how all this worked, so I answered the first few.
They all started with ‘Hi what’s your name?’, well if you read my profile is was in the first sentence…
Until I was greeted with my name and questions about my interests and work and study, a genuine conversation!
I stopped talking to the others, and was fixed to my screen with this one member. We chatted until 3am when we swapped phone numbers. The next morning I was awakened with a ‘Good Morning’ message, that’s when I thought this person is a bit special!
We met up that weekend and have never looked back, literally inseparable. In the 3 years since meeting we have spent 2 nights apart.
After the first 2 years he took me on a surprise holiday where he proposed on the 10/10/2010.
We followed that with a private beach wedding in Fiji on 11/11/2011 and I couldn’t be happier!
