I found true love.. and it was online!
I was on Oasis for just over a year; I was pretty picky with the guys, only met up with one before I met my partner. I am SO glad I waited that little longer.
He is the love of my life, my everything. If it weren't for oasis I would not have met my soul mate. I have NEVER been more in love and so happy and settled in my life.
At first I was a little worried what my friends and family would say, about how we met, because it was online. But I'm glad I gave it a try. We are one of the lucky stories that came out of online dating.
We only spoke on Oasis for just over a week or so, then I trusted him enough to give my number, and we just did not stop texting. And to this day it's nearly been 2 months now, we still text like crazy. He is the most perfect guy any girl could ask for.
So a BIG Thank You to the Oasis team.

Met the wrong guy but ended up being the right!
One night, I received a lot of requests at the same time and went through accepting the ones that I thought I might get along with. Out of those requests, there were two guys that caught my attention. I got along with both of them, but I clicked with one of them more so I added him to MSN and we ended up talking every night until sunrise for a week.
It was his 20th birthday and we decided spontaneously to meet up at the beach. I ended up being 2 hours late and he didn’t have his mobile so I couldn’t call him. I finally found where we were meant to meet, and not only was he still waiting for me after 2 hours, but it turns out this wasn’t the guy I was expecting to meet, this whole time I thought I was talking to the second guy I had added on Oasis. I wasn’t about to complain though, he was a lot cuter and it must have been fate, especially since he waited around for 2 hours.
We had an amazing night and have now been together for almost 2 years. He’s perfect for me, but the best part is even our family and friends can’t believe how perfect we are together :) We have both kept our Oasis profiles though, just to keep making new friends.

From going onto Oasis, I did so with no expectation of anything. I was tired of looking in the same old places to meet people. Sleazy men at pubs/clubs, work relationships and dead end drop kicks seem to be a plenty so hey why not the internet......right?
I talked to some guys on Oasis with no luck; no one could really keep my interest or hold a decent conversation, until I started to have a chat with a kiwi guy. It seemed he and I could have a good chat no matter how obscure the conversation was.
He seemed a little stand offish and we had a date set to get a drink and meet up but I thought hey let's mix it up and make this date a little sooner, let's just say GREAT idea! We had a fun time and after few drinks heading our own ways home, both thinking the other wouldn't call/text for a 2nd date but as it seems we were both took a liking to each other and a 2nd date was on the cards ( horrible movie recommended by HIS friends, not blaming anyone haha).
And so the dates kept coming, it was the night of him having a games night with his friends that we just knew this was something we both wanted and decided to make the commitment and be together. From there we have been inseparable, spending nearly every day together and if were not together then were talking on the phone or texting and over this time we have fell madly in love.
We were one of those couples people see in the streets and get jealous of their happiness, we can't stop looking at each other, not being able to concentrate on anything but each other is around, We both just couldn't feel any happier to have found each other! From a site we both didn't have much hope with to now saying WE LOVE YOU OASIS!!
In love and engaged
I signed up to Oasis to see if I would have any luck in meeting that one special lady, I chatted to a few people online but not 'the one'. A few months down the track I was chatting to someone who seemed so perfect, we clicked straight away.
I convinced her to come meet me so we could chat face to face. Everything was going so well, I invited her back to my place where we held hands and cuddled.
On my birthday we officially started going out and 6 months later we got engaged. We are now planning our wedding for October 2012.

The best 5 months of my life ever
Back in February last year my marriage of 30 broke up. After a few months on my own a friend suggested that I register on a dating site, so joined Oasis. I meet and chatted with a few nice people there.
After a few weeks I received a request from a chap and we spent the best part of 8 hours chatting, after this 8 hours he said he was going to get some tea but would be straight back. I asked him what he was going to have and when he said Chinese I said I'll have chicken and mushroom and boiled rice and laughed we spent the next half an hour in fits of laughter as he offered to drive the 86 miles to my house to deliver it after much laughter we decided to meet on the Sunday.
He arrived at my door with the most beautiful bouquet of flowers and the rest as they say is history.
He was the most loving thoughtful man I had ever met we spent the time dived between each other’s homes met each other’s families. I would find gifts hidden around his flat with little love messages on.
I would drive up after work on a Friday to find that a bath had been run a cup of tea made I had experienced nothing like this in all the time I had been married.
However all this was to change when I was up there on holiday in October he complained of feeling tired and went for a lay down I got up to go to the bathroom and came back to find him fighting for his breath. I rushed to the medicine cupboard to get his spray and was on the phone to the emergency services by the time I got back to the bedroom he was unconscious. I tried my very hardest to revive him but it was not to be.
Thanks to Oasis we both had the best 5months of our lives his family couldn’t believe the change in him in this time and we have become firm friends.
I will always be grateful for those 5 months and will always have a very special place in my heart for my very special man xxx
