How i met the love of my life
I decided to try this website as I had seen it the advert, I was single and very happy to be, wasn’t really looking for much,
Then I came across this gorgeous guy, I saw his profile photo he had a tattoo on his neck (loves tattoos) we started chatting, moved on to msn eventually and spent about a month just chatting online getting to know each other more.
Then one day we decided to meet the moment I saw him I knew he was really something ever since that night we have been inseparable, which was October 2008 so over 3 years ago. Now we have a gorgeous 4 month old daughter Mia, planning another baby and to get married soon.
He really is my soul mate we are so very similar in so many ways, he is actually only 6 days older than me! I love this website for everything it has given me, if it wasn’t for this site I wouldn’t have met him and had my little family that I love so much.
It's all about the journey.
When I first started talking to this member, I was very cut from my last relationship ending even though I ended it. The other guy was not good for me and it was time for me to move on.
I had trouble trusting him at first and thought he was going to be like all the other guys’ sweet at first and then turn sour.
He kept making jokes, giving compliments and always being a good listener. When we first met in person I was instantly attracted to his sparkling blue eyes, broad shoulders and height.
After meeting he turned to give me a kiss on the cheek at the train station, I turned to let his lips touch my lips. I got on the train home and couldn't contain how much of a spark I felt.
He forgot to ask me out in person like twice, which make me laugh and then when he finally did. Shane said "I asked you out on Australia Day, so then we can always have fire works". The next few months were a blur of chocolates, kisses and sunsets along with a mixture of ups and downs for both our families but each one we conquered together.
On our 3 month anniversary he gave me a promise ring and said "It's all about the journey together"
It is leading up to our 1 year anniversary this year and we are moving in together. This is a big step for the both of us, but another chapter in our story together :)
It can happen
Hi all, I have been on Oasis Active for twelve months now off and on. In this time I started to think I wouldn't meet anyone on here but I did.
He is lovely, a real gentleman and I cannot complain at anything.
I hope you all find someone on here too as it can make all the difference in your life.
Fresh start
I joined the Oasis website at the end of August 2011 after being single for the last year and a half. I used to say I wasn't looking for love but it did happen.
I have met someone very special and knew this from the minute we first started talking, it seemed as if we had known each other our whole lives.
We talked via Oasis for a few weeks, keeping our identity a secret until a few days before we met.
This Christmas was different for both of us and also very special. Our families finally did meet and everyone seemed to get along.
Our families are already asking about plans for the future! We are taking a day at the time but the future looks bright for both of us, as a couple... and for that, many thanks to this website...
I would never have believed it could really happen...
Love.. so close yet so far..
Years of failed relationships and getting nowhere I decided I needed to try something new. Get out there see who wants to know me for me without the awkwardness of meeting in a restaurant or a pub and not getting on and ending the night with more disappointment.
Chatted with a few people and this one person kept appearing on my profile. I looked at her a few times and thought.. "She’s way out of my league".. But after a month I decided to try. "Loche", as she called herself.. weird name but then so was mine. She didn't live a million miles away, in fact she lived in the city I work in. result.
We talked.. she said she liked me but it seemed a bit cold and empty.. I tried to get brownie points by remembering her birthday and wishing her all the best.. we exchanged facebook and got closer.. Then a bombshell.. I knew her ex's family.. "uh oh". Then she seemed to open up to me.
Instantly I knew it was a time to pounce.. And pounce I did.. I offered her on a date.. oh yeh.. classy! She accepted and suggested we meet on a lunch hour.. we met had lunch and from the first moment I saw her my heart stopped. Then raced.. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING.. we had a laugh over lunch, especially when mine got sprayed on with table cleaner!!
Then I had to go back to work.. Do we hug,kiss, shake hands.. what do we do...
We hugged.. Seemed the best option for me.. (I still wasn’t sure she liked me even after that)
And from that day we haven’t looked back. She is my life. She lets her son call me dad, she accepted my marriage proposal (shh no one else knows yet) and we're actively looking for a place to live together so we can be a proper family... You know the best thing... even her Dad approves!!
